
Classic Smash Burger

- Beef Mince(600 g)
- Burger Buns(4)
- Cheddar cheese(8 slices)
- Lettuce(1)
- Tomato(2)
- Dill Pickles(8)
- Mayonnaise(4 tbsp)
- Ketchup(2 tbsp)
- Mustard(1 tbsp)
- Potato(800 g)
- Olive oil(2 tbsp)
- Paprika(1 tsp)
- Salt(2 tsp)
- Black pepper(1 tsp)
- Rapeseed Oil(1 tbsp)

Preheat the oven to 220C. Cut {Potato} into thin fries, then toss with {Olive oil}, {Paprika}, {Salt}, and {Black pepper}. Spread out on a large tray.

Bake the fries for 20 minutes, turning once halfway, until golden and crisp at the edges.

Shred the {Lettuce}, slice the {Tomato}, and slice the {Dill Pickles} if needed. Stir together {Mayonnaise}, {Ketchup}, and {Mustard} for a simple burger sauce. Divide the {Ground beef} into 8 loose balls and season with a little extra {Salt} and {Black pepper}.

Heat {Vegetable oil} in a large frying pan over high heat. Add 2 beef balls at a time, smash into thin patties, and cook for 2 minutes until the edges are crisp and golden-brown. Flip, top each patty with {Cheddar cheese}, and cook 1 minute more. Repeat with the remaining beef and {Cheddar cheese}. In the last minute, toast the {Burger Buns} cut-side down in the pan.

Spread the buns with sauce, then stack 2 cheesy patties on each bun base. Top with lettuce, tomato, and pickles, close the burgers, and serve with the hot fries on the side.
