Ingredients

Servings:4
  • Ground turkey(600 g)
  • Parmesan(40 g)
  • Breadcrumbs(40 g)
  • Eggs(1)
  • Garlic(2 cloves)
  • Dried Oregano(1 tsp)
  • Salt(1 tsp)
  • Black pepper(½ tsp)
  • Olive oil(2 tbsp)
  • Mozzarella(100 g)
  • Tomato(2)
  • Lettuce(1)
  • Burger Buns(4)
  • Mayonnaise(4 tbsp)
  • Arugula(60 g)
  • Red Onion(1)
  • Balsamic Glaze(1½ tbsp)
  • Fresh basil(10 g)

Method

  1. 1

Finely grate {Parmesan}, mince {Garlic}, and thinly slice 1 {Tomato}. Slice the remaining {Tomato} into wedges for the salad, shred a few leaves from the {Lettuce}, thinly slice the {Red Onion}, and tear the {Fresh basil}.

    ~8 min

  2. 2

    In a bowl, mix {Ground turkey}, {Parmesan}, {Breadcrumbs}, {Eggs}, {Garlic}, {Dried Oregano}, {Salt}, and {Black pepper} until just combined. Shape into 4 even burger patties with a slight dip in the center.

    ~6 min

  3. 3

Heat 1 tbsp {Olive oil} in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5 minutes on the first side, then turn and cook for 4 minutes more until golden and nearly cooked through.

    ~9 min

  4. 4

Top each patty with {Mozzarella}, cover the pan, and cook for 2 minutes until the cheese melts and the burgers are cooked through. In the last minute, toast the {Burger Buns} cut-side down in the pan or in a second dry pan.

    ~3 min

  5. 5

Toss the tomato wedges, half the {Red Onion}, {Arugula}, most of the {Fresh basil}, {Balsamic vinegar}, and the remaining 1 tbsp {Olive oil} with a pinch of salt and pepper.

    ~2 min

  6. 6

Spread {Mayonnaise} on the {Burger Buns}. Build each burger with {Lettuce}, a mozzarella-topped turkey patty, sliced tomato, and the remaining red onion. Serve with the balsamic salad and scatter over the last basil.

    ~9 min
