  • Beef Sirloin(400 g)
  • Mixed Greens(120 g)
  • Cucumber(1)
  • Radish(6)
  • Avocado(1)
  • Green Onions(3)
  • Coriander(10 g)optional
  • Sesame seeds(2 tsp)
  • Soy sauce(2 tbsp)
  • Rice Vinegar(1 tbsp)
  • Lime(1)
  • Sesame oil(1 tbsp)
  • Honey(2 tsp)
  • Ginger(1 tbsp)
  • Rapeseed Oil(1 tbsp)
  • Salt(½ tsp)
  • Black pepper(½ tsp)

Method

    Pat the {Beef steak} dry, then season all over with {Salt} and {Black pepper}. Thinly slice the {Cucumber} into half-moons, slice the {Radish}, dice the {Avocado}, and finely slice the {Scallions}. Roughly chop the {Fresh cilantro} if using.

    In a bowl, whisk together the {Soy sauce}, {Rice Vinegar}, juice of the {Lime}, {Sesame oil}, {Honey}, and grated {Ginger} until balanced and glossy.

    Heat the {Vegetable oil} in a heavy pan over high heat. Sear the {Beef steak} for 1–2 minutes per side until browned outside and still rare in the center.

    Transfer the beef to a board and rest for 5 minutes. Then slice it thinly across the grain.

    Add the {Mixed Greens}, {Cucumber}, {Radish}, {Avocado}, half the {Scallions}, and half the dressing to a large bowl. Toss lightly, then add the sliced beef and fold through just enough to coat everything without bruising the leaves.

    Pile the salad onto plates and spoon over the remaining dressing. Finish with the remaining {Scallions}, {Sesame seeds}, and {Fresh cilantro} if using.
